A quick lighting study made in UE4 using marketplace assets. I intended to take this further with a wider variety of species, a proper heightmap and more detailed procedural spawning rules. I may go back to it in the future but I plan to do a lot more work with custom assets in 2019, since I've been learning Houdini and will hopefully be able to leverage it's awesome power soon.
I've been studying natural patterns, landscapes and flora in a lot of detail over the past few months, and going on daily excursions trying to identify species in my local park. I hope to bring all of this together soon.
